This book gave me a clear and practical look at how Amazon operates behind the scenes. Written by two former senior executives, the book explains the company’s core principles such as customer obsession, long-term thinking and its structured decision-making processes; showing how these ideas shaped major innovations like AWS and Kindle. Rather than focusing on biography or storytelling alone, it breaks down the mechanisms Amazon uses to build and scale products. While the tone can feel somewhat favorable toward Amazon, and I thought it was a tad bit biased, the book stood out for its detailed, actionable insights into one of the world’s most influential business models, making it especially valuable for managers, entrepreneurs and anyone interested in strategy.
